One of the essential tools available to a ship captain is a compus. With a true north reading, he can quickly determine his location
and set the ruder accordingly. If a man is lost in a dense forest, he can quickly get his bearings with a compus. So it is with a
nation... and the Bible has been America's compus since it founding. It has been the standard by which we live with ourselves, relate
to others, and share in a democracy where each respects the freedoms of another.
However, in the last couple decades, the authority of the Bible has come into question. It's influence has been systematically removed
from our children, schools, and the public square. That standard by which we all live is being challenged as never before.
